Event requirements
The course will be designed to minimize the risk of damage or injury to any participants or vehicles. The cones we use are softer than typical road cones, and damage to cars or paint is rare. All vehicles will be required to pass SCCA's Technical Inspection ("tech"), which is a basic safety inspection including ensuring the vehicle is in good safe condition including tires that are not cracked or showing cords, brakes in good operation, battery securely mounted, safety belt operating, and a few other items such as ensuring the vehicle does not present an excessive rollover risk, and doesn't have prohibited items like nitrous or methanol injection. Tech Inspection will be performed the morning of the event, but please ask if you have any concerns. Note: Lowered trucks with stiffened suspensions are often acceptable (please check with us), but stock trucks and SUVs generally are not. The only required safety equipment are close-toed shoes and a helmet meeting SNELL M2010/SA2010 or newer specifications. If you don't have one, club loaner helmets are available.
